My Name is Ngofeen.

I live in Brooklyn. I tell stories.

My debut play, THE MONKEYPOX GOSPEL, premiered at Ars Nova’s ANT Fest in June and will be playing the Edinburgh Fringe Festival throughout August.

Outside of theatremaking, I create fantasy-laden audio documentaries about real life. As a podcast producer for voices as varied as Jad Abumrad (RadioLab), RuPaul, and Davids both Byrne & Remnick, my work has been nominated for a James Beard Award and featured on The New York Times’ Top 10 Podcasts and the Atlantic’s Best 50 Podcasts.

You can hear me as the host of thirteen seasons of Duolingo’s French Podcast as well as Rights & Wrongs (the Human Rights Watch podcast), and you can read me in The New Yorker and WIRED.

And, outside of storytelling, you can find me watching Italian YouTubers, perfecting my bread-baking game, or trying not to hop at the end of pirouettes. One day, folks. One day.
